Emirates Unveils New UAE Flag Livery on Airbus A380
Emirates has revealed a striking new UAE flag-themed livery on one of its Airbus A380 aircraft, showcasing a giant version of the national flag across the fuselage of the world’s largest passenger jet.
The aircraft, registered A6-EVG, features a bold 3D-style design of the UAE flag stretching across both sides of the plane, extending the airline’s iconic tail artwork into a full-body tribute to the nation.
The launch forms part of Emirates’ “This Flag Will Always Fly” campaign, introduced in support of the nationwide initiative led by His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum encouraging citizens and residents to raise the UAE flag as a symbol of unity, pride, and solidarity.
His Highness Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said the airline was proud to answer the call by honouring the UAE’s unity and strength through the new design.
According to Emirates, the specially painted A380 has already operated flights to New York City and Brisbane, with plans for the aircraft to fly to additional destinations across the airline’s global network.
The carrier also announced plans to introduce the flag-inspired design on a Boeing 777 in the future.
Emirates said the new livery continues the airline’s tradition of marking important national occasions through special aircraft designs. Previous liveries included tributes to the late Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan during the Year of Zayed in 2017, as well as dedicated designs promoting Expo 2020 Dubai.
