Bahrain and Malaysia Strengthen Cooperation Ahead of 2026 Formula 1 Grand Prix
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor, Malaysia.
The meeting took place during His Royal Highness’ attendance at the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, marking the 22nd edition of the event.
The event is being hosted by Malaysia with the blessings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the depth of the relationship between Bahrain and Malaysia, which extends across various levels.
His Royal Highness highlighted the ongoing support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty the King of Malaysia for cooperation and joint coordination between the two countries, noting that these efforts contribute to advancing shared aspirations and development.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also expressed his appreciation to Malaysia for its cooperation in ensuring the success of the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, which reflects the strength of Bahrain-Malaysia relations.
His Royal Highness affirmed the mutual commitment to deepening bilateral partnerships and strengthening cooperation between Bahrain and Malaysia.
The meeting also covered the latest regional and international developments, along with a number of issues of mutual interest.
