Bahrain Indian School Dominates World Scholar’s Cup Bahrain Regional 2026

The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) Bahrain Regional Round 2026 concluded with remarkable enthusiasm and scholarly spirit, bringing together around 750 students from 20 schools across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This prestigious international academic event featured rigorous competitions in Debate, Collaborative Writing, Team Challenge, and the Knowledge Bowl, with participants contesting across both Junior and Senior Divisions.
Among the participating institutions, Bhavans–Bahrain Indian School (BIS) delivered an exceptional and commanding performance, emerging as the Overall First Place School in the Senior Division.
The scholars of BIS demonstrated outstanding intellectual ability, teamwork, and interdisciplinary proficiency, earning widespread recognition across categories.
BIS secured an impressive tally of 213 gold medals, 164 silver medals, and numerous trophies across events in both divisions— reflecting the school’s sustained emphasis on academic rigour, critical thinking, collaborative research, debate, and holistic scholar development.
In the overall standings, Bahrain Indian School clinched the Top Overall School Position in the Bahrain Round.
The institution celebrated its triumph as the 1st Place Senior Overall Team Champion, led by Sreyas Sreevalsan, Arnav Singh Dewan, and Prince Shrestha. BIS teams also claimed multiple Top 5 Senior Division positions and a Top 10 Junior Overall position, further highlighting the school’s excellence across age groups.
The JAC Khor Trophy – “The Heart of WSC”
A major highlight of the event was the prestigious JAC Khor Trophy, awarded for kindness, enthusiasm, positivity, support for others, leadership through encouragement, and contributions to building a welcoming WSC community.
