Bahrain seizes BD83,000 worth of narcotics

The Anti-Narcotics Department of the General Department of Investigation and Criminal Evidence arrested several individuals in possession of over five kilograms of narcotics and psychotropic substances valued at approximately BD83,000.
The department swiftly took action upon receiving information about illicit substance possession and distribution.
Rigorous search and investigation operations led to the identification and arrest of suspects, along with significant sums of money suspected to be proceeds from drug sales.
The Narcotics Control Department confirmed the successful seizure of contraband items and initiated legal procedures to prepare for referral to the Public Prosecution.
The department emphasized the importance of public cooperation in combating such crimes and urged citizens and residents to report suspicions or seek assistance through the hotline (996), available round the clock.
