Skills to the fore at National Guard graduation

The Director of Staff of the National Guard, Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, patronised the graduation ceremony for an officers training course at the Training School in National Guard Camp, in the presence of senior officers.

The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech delivered by the Commandant of Training School, Lt-Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Azmi, in which he welcomed the Director of Staff for his patronage of the graduation ceremony. The officer in-charge of the course gave a brief presentation about the stages of training, including infantry drills, map-and-compass, field skills, diurnal and nocturnal land navigation, light and medium weapons shooting.

The Director of Staff, in his speech, said this could not have been accomplished had it not been for the directives of National Guard Commander Lt. Gen. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He also lauded His Highness’s constant keenness on upgrading combat efficiency and capabilities of the National Guard personnel through the provision of specialised training courses and programmes for officers and other ranks. He also urged the graduate officers to exert more efforts to advance the standard of performance of duties. The Director of Staff congratulated the graduate officers, wishing them success in their career.

The National Guard Director of Staff also distributed certificates to the graduates and presented the Course Shield to the first position winner.
