As Bahrain makes colossal strides to implement itself as a regional hub for IT services, digitalisation, and technology, the country is certainly ready for more ICT and communication technology companies and is prepared to help them prosper.

Bahrain, lying at the heart of the Arabian Gulf, provides fast and efficient access to the $3.7 trillion (BD1,394,878,540 trillion) MENA market and large neighbouring economies like Saudi Arabia, making it a desirable hub for IT, technology companies, and investors.

Noventiq, a leading global solutions and services provider in digital transformation and cybersecurity, launched its event yesterday, introducing innovative IT solutions to the Bahrain market, with ambitious plans for growth and expansion in the MENA region.

Igor Borovikov, founder of Noventiq, said that without digitalization and modern technologies, companies and governments are not able to effectively manage their clients, customers, and citizens.

“The GCC is the prime place and contains the prime market to expand our company and share critical ideas, investments, and time to accelerate digital transformation for organizations of all sectors,” Igor said.

Sergy Chernovolenko, CEO of Noventiq, highlighted the tremendous achievements of the GCC in terms of investments, technology, and innovation. “If we look at the region 30 years ago, it is incomparable to today. Bahrain has built a prominent and strong economy through modernization, making it one of the most competitive and affordable environments for technology and innovation in the region,” Chernovolenko said.

He said that not only does a country require funds to accelerate itself, but that strong leadership is vital for a country to progress as well. “The Kingdom represents great courage, great people, great desire, and great leadership, which has led the Kingdom into a sought-out country in terms of technology, innovation, and investments,” Chernovolenko stated.

He emphasized that the IT market in the Gulf region is projected to grow significantly in the next 4–5 years. “We can see that worldwide vendors are investing in the region, and this creates a clear understanding regarding the progress the region has made and the courage that Gulf governments show to make targets and goals a reality,” he said.

Cloud traffic is growing faster in MENA than anywhere else in the world, at 41 per cent year over year, according to the Economic Development Board. They also say that as the first Gulf country to adopt a nationwide ‘cloud-first’ policy, Bahrain is ideally placed to take advantage of the ICT opportunities this trend is creating in areas such as business services outsourcing, cybersecurity, digital entertainment, gaming, and e-commerce.
