Retail Sector Set to Support kingdom’s Growth
His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Mr. Yusuff Ali, Chairman of LuLu Group, to discuss the private sector’s role in supporting Bahrain’s economic development.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed the importance of the private sector in creating investment opportunities and driving economic growth. He highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to providing the necessary support and resources for key economic sectors, particularly retail, which plays an important role in strengthening the national economy and stimulating commercial activity.
Shaikh Salman also underscored the importance of strengthening food security, improving supply-chain efficiency and ensuring local markets can meet consumer demand.
The Minister commended LuLu Group for its contribution to Bahrain’s retail sector and its role in meeting consumer needs for food and other essential goods.
Mr. Yusuff Ali expressed appreciation for the Minister’s support for the private sector and reaffirmed LuLu Group’s commitment to contributing to Bahrain’s food security system and its long-term sustainability.
