BRCS Steps Up Youth Engagement
Red Crescent Society reviews humanitarian plans and volunteer initiatives
The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) Board of Directors reviewed plans to strengthen humanitarian programmes, expand volunteer participation and increase youth engagement at its fifth meeting of the 18th term.
The meeting was chaired by BRCS Chairman His Excellency Lieutenant General Doctor Shaikh Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa at the Society’s headquarters in the Diplomatic Area.
The Board approved presenting proposed amendments to the Society’s Articles of Association to the General Assembly in March 2027, coinciding with the end of the current electoral term.
It also reviewed BRCS activities from January to August 2026 and preparations for GCC Red Crescent Day on October 23. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Society will hold an awareness programme for schools and universities from October 18 to 22, focusing on first aid and the humanitarian role of Red Crescent societies.
The Board also discussed a December 2026 training course on climate change and environmental sanitation, in cooperation with the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization.
