Bahrain Calls for Firm Action Against Iran

The Kingdom strongly condemned renewed Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, describing the attacks as a flagrant violation of state sovereignty and a direct threat to civilian lives.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks represented a dangerous escalation that undermines regional security and stability and violates international law, the UN Charter and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.

Saudi Tanker Attack Condemned 

Bahrain strongly condemned the Iranian attack on the Saudi oil tanker SIDR while it was crossing the Strait of Hormuz, which resulted in the deaths of two Filipino sailors.

It stressed that Saudi Arabia’s security and stability are an integral part of Bahrain’s national security.

The Kingdom also expressed its condolences to the government and people of the Philippines and to the families, relatives and colleagues of the two sailors.

Ambassador Tours Prisons

US Ambassador to Bahrain Stephanie Hallett visited the Open Prisons Complex, where she met Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Directorate for the Implementation of Judgments and Alternative Sentences. The meeting focused on strengthening Bahrain-US cooperation, exchanging expertise and reviewing developments in Bahrain’s Open Prisons Programme.

2 Seas Motorsport Wins Nürburgring Bronze Cup

Bahrain’s 2 Seas Motorsport secured victory in the Bronze Cup at Germany’s Nürburgring during the fourth round of the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.

The No. 222 Mercedes-AMG, driven by Reece Barr, Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss, converted pole position into victory. Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the result as an important addition to Bahrain’s motorsport achievements.
