Congratulations poured in yesterday from all corners of Bahrain as the Kingdom went ahead in full steam, celebrating the 51st anniversary of the glorious National Days, the 23rd anniversary of His King’s ascension to the throne and the founding anniversary of Bahrain as an Arab Muslim nation by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783.

All of the Kingdom were glowing in sparkling red and white lights, where iconic landmarks in all governorates of the Kingdom stayed splendidly dressed and decorated, attracting people in large numbers.

The decorations were all breathtakingly attractive, especially the clock roundabout in Riffa, the decorated trees in Zallaq and Isa Town Street, the light corridors on December 16th street, and Bahrain Bay Street.

Over a 3 km distance from the Crown Prince Street to Al Riffa street were lit all through the night with light poles and illuminated Bahraini flags. The highlight was a 5-meter wide illuminated pedestrian corridor in the form of a triangle that extended over 120 meters.

Another 10-meter wide corridor for vehicular traffic had a length of 150 meters. The decorations, Southern officials said, drew inspiration from the five triangles on the Bahrain flag. Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, said the glorious national occasions are a golden opportunity to renew true belonging to the homeland.
