Blast near Bahrain airport: Trial of 5 persons adjourned
The High Criminal Court yesterday adjourned the trial of five Bahraini men, accused of detonating an explosive device near the Bahrain International Airport.
The court also ordered them to be remanded in police custody. The Bahrainis, aged between 20 and 40, have reportedly placed the bomb in Shaikh Khalifa Al Kabeer Avenue, but no injuries were reported after the bomb went off.
Another explosive was also found on the scene, but experts later declared it was a replica, according to court documents.
Among the defendants is a girl, who is accused of providing a safe house to two of her co-suspects.
