His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has reaffirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to achieving regional and global environmental security.

It is a commitment strengthened over the last week by both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia’s announcements of their intention to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2060.

HRH Prince Salman also highlighted the important role of agricultural nurseries in realising the MGI Summit’s afforestation goals, committed Bahrain to supporting these efforts, and commended Saudi Arabia’s success in organising and hosting the summit.
