Russia ‘seeks to further boost ties with Bahrain’
Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa yesterday held a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, as part of his official visit to Moscow.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain’s pride in the close and friendly relations with the Federal Republic of Russia and the continuous development witnessed in various fields.
He stressed that the continuous consultation and co-ordination between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President of the Federal Republic of Russia, President Vladimir Putin, reflects the strong relationship, common concern and great interest in strengthening relations and opening wider horizons for bilateral cooperation in various fields.
He praised the important role played by the Russian Federation in promoting security and stability in the region and in finding durable solutions to its crises, and its effort to overcome the challenges facing the international community.
