International speakers for Bahrain Emergency Medicine meeting
Emergency Medicine experts from around the world will gather in Bahrain for the first Emergency Medicine Conference (BEMC) 2019 to discuss the best evidence-based clinical practices for assessing, diagnosing and treating acutely ill and injured patients. The three-day international conference will be held under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, from 9-11 October 2019 at the Gulf Hotel Convention Center.
BEMC is organised by the Bahrain Medical Society (BMS) and Bahrain Association of Emergency Medicine (BAEM). BEMC will host Dr SV Mahadevan, Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Stanford University Medical Center. Dr Ian Stiell, will be one of the speakers. His current research interests include acute atrial fibrillation and acute heart failure.
BEMC will also host Dr Eric Revue, who is an active member of the European Society of Emergency Medicine, serving as chair of the website committee. Among speakers is Prof Ives Hubloue, the chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel (UZ Brussel) and of the Research Group on Emergency and Disaster Medicine (ReGEDiM) at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB, Belgium).
