Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has urged more vigilance in dealing with regional challenges. He stressed that the fast-paced regional developments required vigilance and full readiness to anticipate incidents and act effectively.

 In a discussion with Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, members of the Shura and Representatives Councils, former Speaker of the Representatives Council Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani and senior officials at Gudaibiya Palace here yesterday, HRH the Prime Minister said regional developments would only boost the Kingdom’s strength and ability to take the necessary steps to maintain national security.

He called on the GCC countries to rally ranks and give union top priority in this crucial phase. “What is happening in Yemen asserts the dire need for the GCC countries to unite.”

 Prince Khalifa said: “Bahrain’s hard-won gains are the dividends of dedicated national work in which all Bahrainis took part diligently.”

He mentioned his continuous follow-up on issues raised by the Representatives Council members. He also praised their sense of responsibility to fast-track development according to available resources.

 HRH Premier commended the cooperation between the legislative and executive branches to boost the economy and maximise benefits for citizens.

 Urging to use openness as a gateway to development and modernisation, he underlined the importance of security as a prerequisite for economic development. “Attempts to undermine stability aim first and foremost at halting the development movement,” he reminded.
