National Ambulance Service launch hailed

President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH), Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa,  welcomed the directives of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, to launch the National Ambulance Service on June 15.

The service will be activated at 13 centers to cover all governorates by the end of this year to improve the quality of ambulance service provided for citizens and residents. The SCH President yesterday chaired a meeting attended by the Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Health Undersecretary Dr. Waleed Al Mani’ and a number of officials responsible for the National Ambulance Service Scheme to discuss the necessary arrangements to implement the service. 

The SCH President extended the appreciation of the directives of the Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to take all measures necessary to launch the national ambulance project on time.
