Bahrain Merida cycling team tours for charity
Manama : A large pool of cycling enthusiasts flocked yesterday to take part in the tour organised by Bahrain Merida Cycling Team.
Sponsored by Bin Hindi Motors – Kia Motors Dealers in Bahrain, the event presented cyclists with a great opportunity to start the summer season together in a large group circuiting closed roads.
Started at 7:00 am, the event began from Kia Motors showroom in Arad and toured Muharraq Governorate, featuring many riders from both genders and in the presence of numerous top officials of Bin Hindi Motors.
The tour covered at a speed of 25 km/h, with participants kicking off the ride from Muharraq to Marassi Beach, where there was a short break for water and refreshments, before heading back again towards Amwaj Island to the Kia Showroom in Arad. Meanwhile, the event proceeds were donated to Dar Al-Manar Parents Care.
From their part, the event participants expressed utmost pleasure to take part in such exciting tour, affirming their keenness to make the cycling sport a huge success in the Kingdom of Bahrain given that it’s a tool for encouraging the public to adopt a healthy lifestyle. They thanked Bahrain Merida Cycling Team and Bin Hindi Motors for launching this initiative.
At the end of the tour, a raffle draw was held on many valuable prizes, including large screen TVs.
