Philippine embassy takes part in Bahrain for all festival

Manama : The Philippine Embassy participated in the Bahrain For All, All For Bahrain, a major festival showcasing the various cultures of expatriate communities in Bahrain, held at the Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Park in Hidd, on 30 March 2018.

The Filipino Community attended in the festival with the “Banyuhay Dance Group” of Philippine School Bahrain (PSB) performing Philippine traditional folk dance such as “Flores de Mayo, Tinikling, Bulaklak, and Muslim Dance.” 

Other Filipino community organisation such as the Alpha Kappa Rho (AKRHO) International Council Bahrain, Guardians Delta Force International Inc. (GDFII) Alpha Phi Omega (APO), FilCom, Kilusang Filipino Walang Iwanan sa Pagbabago ng Bayan – Overseas Filipino Workers (KFWIPB-OFW) Bahrain,  Pinay Ikaw Na (PIN), and Katilingban Sang Mga Ilonggo Sa Bahrain (KIB), were also present to serve as Marshalls and sell Filipino delicacies such as Halo-halo, Pancit Palabok, Bihon Guisado, Biko, Kikiam, Lumpiang Gulay, Fish balls, Squid balls and Roasted Peanuts. 

The embassy also promoted Philippine tourism by displaying posters and giving out brochures provided by the Department of Tourism (DOT).

The event was participated by more than 55,000 Bahrainis and expatriates. Over 45 embassies, foreign communities, social clubs and community associations, civil society organizations, women’s associations, as well as 16 departments from the Ministry of Interior of Bahrain took part in the festival’s activities.
