Biggest fights to be held today in Bahrain

Manama : Brave 9 Kingdom of Champions will be held today, with plenty of exiting matches lined up.

The biggest event of the Brave International Combat week, will be held today evening at Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa town. The event is the biggest fight card ever promoted in the Middle East. Some of the best fighters from more than 20 different countries, including the “Pride of Bahrain” Hamza Kooheji will go head to head. 

Some of the fights includes  Ottman Azaitar vs Alejandro Pato, Elias “Smile” Boduegzdame vs Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, Gurdarshan Mangat vs Stephen Loman, Tahar Hadbi vs Mohammad Fakhreddine, Hamzah Kooheji vs Mohammad Farhad and Hardeep Rai vs Alex Trinidad.

Record win for Bahrain

Murtaza Talha Ali of Barhain defeated Pawel Zakrzewski of Poland by the naked choke maneuver in round two in the light heavy weight category of the IMMAF World championship. The other Bahraini win was when Gamzat Magomedov defeated Florian Doskja of Albania in the Bantamweight category. The winners will now compete in the final of the competition.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, praised the efforts of the Bahraini youth involved in the organizing committee, who have been working hard for the success of the 2017 IMMAF Championship and Brave International Combat Week. Shaikh Nasser said that the tournament is a great chance for Bahrain to elevate the name of the Kingdom.

“We are proud to host the big international event in Bahrain. We are proud to have been the country chosen to host the international competition outside the US for the first time,” he said.

“The hosting of this international gathering in Bahrain gives our players strong motivation to shine and highlight their capabilities, hoping that the Bahraini audience will have a role in raising their morale, and pushing them to present their best as they always do.” he added.
