AWS, ThinkSmart to strengthen partnership

Manama : Amazon Web Services (AWS) and ThinkSmart for Development and Training are exploring joint cooperation which supports the strategic choice of Amazon to take Bahrain as a regional headquarters in cloud computing in the Middle East. Senior officials of both sides met to strengthen partnership at the recent Amazon Summit held here recently.

Think Smart Institute sponsored the Amazon Summit, which was held alongside the Bahrain Technology Week held by the Economic Development Board from September 24 to 28.

“This partnership with Amazon aims to support the growth and prosperity of the IT services sector in Bahrain by providing qualified and trained personnel to handle Amazon products and the requirements of modern technology, and support Business sector in Bahrain and various economic fields,” said Ahmed Al Hujairi, CEO of ThinkSmart.

“ThinkSmart added the AWS courses to its existing cloud computing training and services portfolio to help individuals delivering cloud-based solutions gain proficiency with AWS services and solutions. The hands-on, role-based AWS courses are designed around the three primary roles that comprise engineering teams delivering cloud-based solutions: solutions architect, sysops administrator and developer,” Hujairi added.

Thinksmart is one of the latest partners to join the AWS Partner Network (APN), the global partner program focusing on helping partners build successful AWS-based businesses by providing great business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support.
