Prof Al Azmi is new chairman of AGU board
Manama : Arabian Gulf University (AGU) Board of Trustees has unanimously chosen Prof. Hamid Mohammed Al-Azmi, Under Secretary of Higher Education in Kuwait, as the new Board of Trustees Chairman for three years starting from May 2017. He is the successor of Dr. Mohammad Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Educational Affairs.
This came during the 83rd meeting of AGU Board of Trustees, held at the University premises. This appointment is due to AGU’s regulations, which states that a new chairman must be selected every three academic years between the board members representing the Gulf Cooperation Council according to alphabetical order of States Members in AGU. Dr. Khalid A.Rahman Nasser Al-Ohali, President of AGU has welcomed the selection of Dr. Hamid Mohammed Al-Azmi as the new Board of Trustees Chairman unanimously. “This gives the Board of Trustees members pride in the selection, which reflects the trust the Board has for Dr. Al-Azmi”
