Premier to visit Qatar soon

Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa will visit Qatar soon. This was disclosed by the Prime Minister at the regular weekly Cabinet session held at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. 

Prince Khalifa will meet the Qatari Amir, Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during his visit. Prime Minister’s Qatar visit comes at the invitation of Father Amir, Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. 

During the visit HRH Premier will broaden the Bahraini-Qatari cooperation, exchange views on issues of common interest and discuss the latest regional developments, said a statement by the Cabinet Secretary-General, Dr. Yasser bin Isa Al Nasser, said. 

The Cabinet session chaired by HRH Prime Minister was attended by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. 

The Prime Minister also informed the Cabinet about the official visit of Crown Prince to Kuwait, lauding the strong fraternal relations between the two countries.

The session also stressed the importance of visits by leaders and senior officials of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in enhancing joint cooperation so as to be able to face regional challenges.

Focus on agriculture

At the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of developing the agricultural sector and gave directives to encourage exhibitions to market Bahrain’s national products and boost investment in the sector. 

 In this context, the Cabinet lauded Bahrain International Gardens Show held recently.
