Dietician molests woman, absconds
Manama : The Public Prosecution has issued an international arrest warrant against a nutrition specialist, who is accused of sexual abuse against a woman. The defendant was serving in a Diet Centre and the woman visited him for consultation.
The victim said the man had held her waist and touched her breast despite her reluctance.
The defendant’s first hearing was held yesterday, but he didn’t appear before the High Criminal Court. He is believed to have fled the country.
“I went there with my husband but he stayed in the car. I was eligible for a free consultation, and he (the accused) escorted me to an office behind the reception. I expressed my desire to lose weight. He then held my waist and tried to kiss me. But I spurned his advance,” the woman explained. “He wrote his mobile number on a piece of paper and gave it to me.”
The case was adjourned yesterday until September 5.
