Microsoft renews deal with Government
Manama : Microsoft Bahrain renewed an agreement with the Government of Bahrain to utilise technology in support of innovation and digital transformation.
The firm recently hosted Empowering Digital Government transformation event with the participation of over 200 officials and representatives from the different government bodies.
Five government entities namely Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Youth & Sports Affairs, Bahrain Olympic Committee, Electricity and Water Authority and Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) shared their experience with the Digital Transformation using Microsoft technology.
“In this mobile-first, cloud-first world, government organisations are uniquely positioned to take advantage of current digital and societal trends that enable their people to achieve more and deliver better services to a growing developed population,” said Sherif Tawfik, Microsoft Bahrain and Oman Country General Manager.
Information and eGovernment Authority CEO Mohammed Ali Al Qaed commended the important role Microsoft has played as Bahraini Government’s Technology partner throughout the years.
