Crown Prince meets BAB officials

Association’s support to banking sector highlighted during the meeting

 Manama

 His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, yesterday met the newly appointed Board of Directors of the Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB), headed by Chairman Mr Abdul Razaq Al Qassim, at Gudaibiya Palace.

 During the meeting, Prince Salman extended congratulations to the newly appointed BAB Board of Directors on their appointments. He also mentioned about the support the association provides to the banking sector in the Kingdom through organising important banking conferences and forums and highlighted the role of the banking and financial sectors in driving economic growth.

 Noting the continued increase in financial institutions within the Kingdom, HRH Crown Prince expressed his appreciation for national efforts and contributions to enhancing Bahrain’s banking and financial sectors. He further highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to reinforcing its position as a business and investment hub within the region. He also went on to praise Bahrain’s strong and transparent regulatory environment.

On the occasion, Al-Qassim and the Board of Directors expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet HRH Crown Prince and expressed appreciation for his continued support to the BAB and the banking sector in the Kingdom.
