Original ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Stars Reunite for 50th Anniversary Celebration
he original stars of the hit television series Charlie's Angels reunited this week to celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary, delighting fans with a rare public appearance together.
Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd came together at the annual PaleyFest event held in Los Angeles on April 6, marking five decades since the iconic crime drama first aired in 1976.
The trio, who played leading roles in the groundbreaking series, appeared in high spirits as they posed for photographs and reflected on their time on the show. Jackson and Smith originally starred alongside the late Farrah Fawcett in the first season, while Ladd joined in the second season and remained until the series concluded in 1981.
During the event, Ladd shared a deeply personal account of her battle with breast cancer, describing it as a “long, hard road.” She revealed she had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of the disease but is now cancer-free following treatment, including surgery and radiation. Ladd noted that her experience was “humbling” and highlighted the importance of support from loved ones during recovery.
The discussion also touched on the health challenges faced by other cast members over the years. Smith previously battled breast cancer in 2002, while Jackson underwent treatment after diagnoses in the late 1980s. Fawcett passed away in 2009 after battling cancer.
The reunion comes amid renewed interest in the show’s legacy. Smith recently announced her upcoming memoir, I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie, set for release in September, which will offer behind-the-scenes insights into the making of the series and her long-standing friendships with co-stars.
Widely regarded as a cultural phenomenon, Charlie’s Angels helped redefine the portrayal of women in action roles on television, leaving a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
