Olympic gold medallist Remco Evenepoel will skip the cobbled Paris-Roubaix one-day race this Sunday and instead focus on his favoured Liege-BastogneLiege later this month.
The Belgian Red Bull rider hinted after his impressive third-place showing at the Tour of Flanders at the weekend that he could take part at Paris-Roubaix.
But Red Bull said on Monday he would stick to his original plans and target Liege-Bastogne-Liege, which he won in 2022 and 2023, to be raced on April 27.
“Remco will stay focused on the Ardennes, as planned,” a team spokesperson told Belgian television channel Sporza.
