JEDDAH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Jeddah yesterday.
During the visit, Mr. Starmer welcomed the recent Iran-US ceasefire. He noted that while the development is positive, there remains ‘a lot of work to do’ to ensure the agreement becomes permanent. The prime minister also emphasised the global importance of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that security in the waterway ‘has an impact everywhere across the world’.
Mr. Starmer was greeted upon arrival by Makkah Region Governor Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz. The respective ambassadors from both countries were also in attendance.
