INDIAN CLUB LABOUR DAY

Venue: Indian Club premises

The Indian Club Labour Day Celebration 2016  will be held at the Indian Club premises in Gudaibiya on May 1.  The event which  is organized  in association with the Tamil Community  will start at 10am with activities  that  support the workers   including legal advice and medical check-ups.  The   guests and  expatriate workers will be treated to an evening of exciting multi-cultural performances from a wide range of local performers, including a number of young dancers from the Tamil community, all aged between 9 and 15.  

ARABIC MANUSCRIPTS

Time :  Ongoing till 4 May, 8am to 8pm

Venue: Bahrain National Museum

Arabic manuscripts reflect the splendor of Arab civilization and its cultural achievements in the various fields of knowledge. The libraries of Bahrain, like those found in other Arab countries, contained prized collections of rare manuscripts. The displayed collection features some rare and exquisite illuminated manuscripts that are shown to the public for the first time to celebrate “Manuscript Day”.

 

AHMED ANNAN SOLO EXHIBITION

Time : On-going till 5 May, 10am to 10pm

Venue: Al Riwaq Art Space

The solo exhibition of Bahraini artist Ahmed Annan is on display at Al Riwaq Art Space till 5 May. In Annan’s work, he proves that we hide what is beautiful and show what is ugly, only to occasionally discover beauty in the ugliness and ugliness in the beauty. Concealing and revealing is not only a phenomenon but a process in every aspect of our life, behaviour, religion, trade, politics, culture and art.

CUT & WEIGHT @ FLAMES
