Teen jailed in Bahrain for assault
Manama : The High Criminal Court sentenced a 19-year-old boy to five years behind bars for attacking a man with a plank and punching another during a wedding.
The accused reportedly stared at a women invited to a wedding, prompting the duo to reprimand him.
The incident occurred on April 16, 2014, and the accused allegedly responded to them violently.
He hit the first victim with a plank on the head, leaving him in a 22-day-long coma, besides punching the second victim.
The first victim had to undertake a head surgery as he suffered internal bleeding.
He was later sent to a rehabilitation centre to regain his ability to walk and balance.
