Bahrain teacher who assaulted student granted bail
Manama : The Public Prosecution yesterday granted a BD100 bail for a teacher accused of beating one of his students.
The defendant allegedly caused severe wounds on the forehead of the student. The incident occurred when the victim arrived late for his class.
His lawyer, however, stated that the student entered the class in rush while he was holding a metal bar in his hand.
He added that the victim fell on the corner of the class door, subsequently wounding himself. However, the prosecutors held him in detention and later released him after accusing him of assaulting the student.
