As summer temperatures continue to rise, so too will the level of competition at Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) this coming Ramadan.
During the holy month, BIKC will host the first two rounds of the 2015/2016 season in the highly competitive SWS Bahrain Championship.
The SWS is an arrive-and-drive series that gives karters of all skill levels a chance to compete in a fun yet professionally run challenge and open to all aged 16 years and above, for both men and women of any nationality and any level of experience.
Registration is now open for the season’s first two rounds during Ramadan at BIKC in Sakhir, with the opening round on June 22 and the second on June 29.
The cost per driver per round is BD60 and all participants will drive identical RT9 Sodi karts, which will be provided by BIKC.
BIKC is inviting all motorsport lovers to come and take part in the series and to experience the joy and unique thrill of grassroots motor racing.

The championship is being organised by BIKC and Bahrain International Circuit, in cooperation with the Bahrain Motor Federation and Bahrain Karting Club.
All races in the new season will be held at night under BIKC’s state-of-the-art track floodlighting system. BIKC is the only grade ‘A’ karting circuit in the world that is sanctioned by the Commission Internationale de Karting (CIK-FIA) to hold world championship-level races at night.
Drivers will be able to earn points at each meeting during the season and at the end of the campaign, the three drivers with the most points will be awarded with a free seat and a chance to compete in the SWS World Finals in France.
Following the first two rounds in Ramadan, the 2015/2016 championship will resume in October and continue until March of next year.
