Diabetes Summit Set for October

The second Bahrain Diabetes and Obesity Conference (BDOC) will be held on October 1-2, 2026, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The event, organised in cooperation with Education Plus, will bring together local, regional and international experts to explore the latest developments in diabetes and obesity management, prevention methods and healthcare strategies.
The Bahrain Diabetes Society and Education Plus signed an agreement to organise the conference. The agreement was signed by Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health and Chairman of the Bahrain Diabetes Society, and Dr. Amin Abdullah, General Manager of Education Plus.
Dr. Shaikh Mohammed highlighted that the conference reflects Bahrain’s efforts to address non-communicable diseases through research, awareness programmes and cooperation between health and academic institutions.
