Bahrain Airport Co. hosts safety review
Manama: Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body and operator of Bahrain International Airport (BIA) announced yesterday the hosting of the globally renowned ACI APEX Safety Review at Bahrain International Airport, between February 28 and March 3, 2016.
BAC officially recognised its commitment to the ACI Airport Excellence (APEX) in Safety Programme through the signing of a Declaration of Commitment and Collaboration with Airports Council International.
The signing ceremony took place during the first day of the Safety Review, and was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Company Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah, Director of Safety & Security of Bahrain Airport Company Jose Mendes, and the ACI Safety Review Team
members.
“BAC has a commitment to operate the Kingdom’s national gateway
with the most stringent of safety standards not only on the airfield but across the airport premises; it is our mission to sustain an optimal environment and safeguard the well-being of everyone who accesses Bahrain International Airport,” said Al Binfalah
The ACI Review Team shall assist in identifying opportunities for improving the level of safety and compliance with ICAO Standards and
Recommended Practices, and allowing BAC to enhance
the safety of aviation operations at BIA based on the best international industry practices.
ACI shall further assist BAC by providing continued support, training and access to a global network of
expertise.
