Bahraini wins international photography prize in Dubai
Manama : A Bahraini photographer recently won a USD25, 000 (BD9,422) international prize among more than 33, 000 participating photographers.
Hameed Al Makhlouq’s pictures were chosen as the best three categories of the fifth edition of the Crown Prince of Dubai Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Grand Prize, held in the UAE on Monday.
Al Makhlouq was honoured by HH Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for winning three categories of the competition, including the grand prize (happiness), father and son and the general categories.
Al Makhlouq’s snaps were chosen among 80, 420 pictures that were submitted to the competition’s jury by photographers representing 17 countries.
