Bahrain Public Prosecution Joins International Seminar on Wildlife Crime
Bahrain’s Public Prosecution took part in a remote international seminar organised by the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) focusing on OCTOPUS, a legal database dedicated to environmental crime.
Counsellor Adnan Mattar Fakhro and Senior Advocate Hassan Abbas Al Haddad represented the Public Prosecution at the seminar, which introduced the database and its applications for legal and law enforcement professionals.
OCTOPUS provides access to laws and regulations related to transnational wildlife crime, along with information on law enforcement bodies and specialised prosecution authorities across different countries.
The participation reflects the Public Prosecution’s efforts to keep pace with international legal practices and strengthen the exchange of expertise in combating environmental and wildlife crimes.
