Bahraini Photographers Honoured for FIAP Success

Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the National Arts Council, honoured Bahraini photographers who participated in the International Photography Biennial held in Brazil as part of the activities of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).
The ceremony was attended by Shaikha Marwa bint Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Fine Arts Society, and recognised the photographers for the outstanding international result achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Shaikh Rashid praised the achievement, noting that the results reflect the advanced position reached by photography in Bahrain and the ability of Bahraini photographers to compete at major international art events.
He also commended the Bahrain Fine Arts Society for its role in supporting photography and nurturing Bahraini talent, as well as its continued efforts to provide artists and photographers with opportunities to participate in international events and competitions.
Sheikh Rashid's recognition forms part of his continued support for art and artists in Bahrain and his efforts to encourage creative talent and recognise their achievements, strengthening the role of art in the Kingdom's cultural and civilisational landscape.
Shaikha Marwa welcomed the honour, saying that the attention and support extended to Bahraini artists provide an important incentive to continue developing their artistic work and raising their presence and achievements internationally.
