Qatar has strongly condemned what it described as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s illegal entry into Syrian territory, calling it a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and a serious threat to regional security.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the move constitutes a breach of international law and Syria’s territorial integrity.
The ministry urged the international community to take urgent action to compel Israel to comply with international law and relevant resolutions, particularly the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Syria and Israel.
Qatar also called for an end to repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, warning that continued violations could lead to further regional escalation and instability.
The ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, while expressing solidarity with the Syrian people in their pursuit of security, stability and prosperity.
Doha stressed that respecting international law and existing agreements remains essential to preventing further escalation and maintaining regional stability.
