Bahrain, Yemen Reaffirm Strong Ties

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Zouba delivered to His Royal Highness a letter addressed to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa from Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen.

His Royal Highness affirmed the strength of the longstanding Bahrain-Yemen relations and Bahrain’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields to support the two countries’ mutual aspirations.

The meeting also addressed issues of common interest and the latest regional and international developments. His Royal Highness reaffirmed Bahrain’s steadfast support for efforts aimed at promoting security, stability, development and peace in Yemen.

His Royal Highness also congratulated Dr. Al-Zouba on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, wishing her success in her new role.

For her part, Dr. Al-Zouba condemned what she described as unjustified Iranian hostile aggression against the Kingdom of Bahrain and other GCC countries, calling it a flagrant violation of their sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability.

She affirmed Yemen’s solidarity with the GCC countries and support for measures taken by member states to safeguard their security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
