HM the King highlights GCC defence cooperation and diplomatic ties

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the credentials of nine newly appointed ambassadors to the Kingdom of Bahrain during a ceremony held yesterday.
The ambassadors are Gerard Cunningham of Ireland, Christophe Farnaud of the European Union, Saimir Bala of Albania, Kjersti Tromsdal of Norway, Carolin Konther Lopez of Paraguay, Assane Tamboura of Burkina Faso, Ulrich Frank of Austria, Madiyar Menilbekkov of Kazakhstan, and Siddiq Faizal Riyad Koya of Fiji.
His Majesty welcomed the ambassadors and expressed pride in Bahrain’s strong relations with their respective countries, wishing them success in their diplomatic missions.
Bahrain’s Stability
HM the King said the ambassadors’ presence reflected confidence in Bahrain and conveyed a message that life in the Kingdom continues normally despite regional challenges.
He noted that government operations, trade, tourism and daily activities have continued, stressing Bahrain’s commitment to maintaining stability and preventing escalation.
GCC Unity Emphasised
His Majesty also highlighted the ongoing GCC joint military exercise hosted by Bahrain, involving air, naval and land forces from member states.
He said the exercise demonstrates GCC unity, coordination and readiness, while strengthening cooperation among the region’s armed forces.
The ambassadors conveyed greetings from their leaders and expressed their commitment to further developing relations with Bahrain.
The ceremony was attended by senior members of the Royal Family, ministers and senior officials. The event concluded with the playing of the National Anthem.
