Bahrain Man held for raping Asian woman
A young Bahraini man raped an Asian woman after luring her with a fake job opportunity, according to police records. The Bahraini is said to have invited the woman to an apartment, saying that it was an office. Then he sexually assaulted her. Later, he allegedly offered to have dinner with her. But she fled and filed a complaint at police station. The man has been kept in police custody, pending investigations.
“I spent weeks searching for a job and my friends gave me his number as he had connections,” the victim told prosecutors. “He took me to the apartment saying that a job interview will be held there. But he sexually assaulted me. When he went to have a bath, I sent my location to my friend through WhatsApp.”
“When my friend turned up. I ran to her car and we fled,” she explained.
