GCC and Jordan Condemn Iran's Continued Aggression
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan have reaffirmed their united condemnation of Iran's continued attacks and those carried out by its proxies against their territories.
In a joint statement, the seven countries said the ongoing assaults on civilian infrastructure—including energy facilities, desalination plants, ports, airports, and other critical sites—constitute serious violations of international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026).
The countries also reaffirmed their right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and welcomed Iraq's decision to restrict weapons to state control while supporting efforts to prevent further attacks by Iranian-backed armed groups in the region.
