Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa has reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to strengthening its healthcare sector during a meeting with American Mission Hospital Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer Dr George Cheriyan.

The minister highlighted Bahrain's progress in healthcare, noting that the Kingdom has built an advanced medical system that continues to enhance its regional standing. He stressed the importance of implementing initiatives aimed at improving the quality, efficiency and sustainability of healthcare services in line with Bahrain's national development goals.

Shaikh Salman praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the American Mission Hospital's future plans, including the redevelopment of the hospital's original premises as a landmark gift to the capital for the next century. He also highlighted plans to transform the former Women's and Children's Hospital building into a healthcare museum.

The minister commended the American Mission Hospital's management and staff for their continued dedication to delivering high-quality healthcare services to citizens and residents, wishing the institution continued success in expanding and enhancing its services.

 The meeting also reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation in support of the ongoing development of Bahrain's healthcare sector and the achievement of shared healthcare objectives.
