Customs Chief Honours Officer for Foiling Drug Smuggling Attempt at Bahrain Airport
Bahrain Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has honoured an officer from the Air Customs Directorate for his outstanding efforts and security vigilance in foiling a significant drug smuggling attempt through Bahrain International Airport.
The recognition highlighted the officer’s alertness, professional skills and strong sense of security responsibility, which played a key role in detecting and preventing the attempted smuggling operation.
Shaikh Ahmed praised the employee’s dedication and accuracy in carrying out his duties, stressing that such efforts reflect the high level of readiness and commitment demonstrated by customs personnel in protecting society and safeguarding national security.
He also commended the continued efforts of customs officers at various entry points, highlighting their discipline, professionalism and determination in confronting smuggling attempts.
The Customs President wished the honoured employee continued success and encouraged all customs personnel to maintain their commitment to excellence in serving the Kingdom.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Abdullah Hamad Al Kubaisi, Director General of the General Directorate of Customs Inspection and Security, and Brigadier Rashid Yahya Al Baker, Director of the Air Customs Directorate.
