Northern Governorate Advances WHO Healthy Accreditation Renewal
The Northern Governorate is accelerating efforts to renew its accreditation as a World Health Organization (WHO) Healthy Governorate by implementing a range of quality initiatives focused on health, sustainability and community well-being.
During a meeting of the Higher Committee for the Healthy Cities Program, Governor Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Madani highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships between government entities, civil society and the local community to improve quality of life.
The committee reviewed progress on environmental, health and sports initiatives, as well as upcoming programs targeting youth, children, senior citizens and people with disabilities. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the governorate's internationally recognised healthy status by continuing to adopt global best practices and sustainable development initiatives.
