Bahrain Participates in Arab Civil Aviation Organisation General Assembly

Husain Ahmed Al Shuail, Undersecretary for Civil Aviation Affairs, represented Bahrain at the 29th General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organisation (ACAO), held in Rabat with the participation of heads of civil aviation authorities from across the Arab world.
In his address, Al Shuail emphasised the importance of strengthening Arab cooperation to support the sustainable development of the civil aviation sector. He highlighted the need to enhance coordination to address emerging challenges and reinforce aviation safety and security across the region.
He noted that recent Iranian attacks had posed direct threats to airspace, air traffic and civil aviation infrastructure in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, stressing the importance of maintaining the highest safety standards and keeping pace with developments in the aviation industry.
During the assembly, participants elected a new president and members of the ACAO Executive Council. They also reviewed preparations for the upcoming session of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Council and a high-level conference on air transport.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Executive Council expressed solidarity with the GCC countries and condemned the Iranian aggression and hostile acts targeting the region's security and stability. The council also reaffirmed the importance of respecting international law, protecting civil aviation, and strengthening Arab cooperation to ensure the sustainability and efficiency of the regional air transport system.
