HM King Congratulates Nepal
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to Nepalese President Ram Chandra Poudel on the occasion of Nepal’s Constitution Day.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also sent a similar cable to President Poudel, as well as a separate congratulatory cable to Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah.
Youth Explore Legislation
The Shura Council’s General Secretariat will launch Legislative Culture Week today, bringing together around 250 male and female students from 12 universities and higher education institutions for a five-day programme.
The initiative aims to introduce students to legislative work and the role of the Shura Council, while encouraging them to share ideas and develop proposals that can contribute to national development and legislative work.
HM King's Visits Greece
Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam highlighted the importance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to Greece in strengthening Bahrain-Greece relations and expanding cooperation.
Both officials praised the outcomes of the King’s talks with Greek leaders, highlighting opportunities to advance cooperation in areas including shipping, ports, investment and defence, while stressing the importance of security, peace, dialogue and shared historical ties.
Cleanliness Week Begins
Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak announced the launch of Cleanliness Week today, coinciding with World Cleanup Day, in cooperation with the Capital Municipality, municipalities and municipal councils.
The initiative will feature community and awareness activities aimed at promoting public cleanliness, environmental responsibility and positive behaviour, while encouraging residents to help maintain public spaces, residential areas and facilities across Bahrain.
Bahrain Oman Cooperation
Bahrain and Oman discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises during a meeting in Muscat between Bahrain’s Ambassador to Oman, Dr. Juma Ahmed Al Kaabi, and UNIDO official Dr. Hashim Hussein.
The meeting, attended by Bahraini-Omani Entrepreneurs Association CEO Her Highness Sayyida Hajija bint Jaifar Al Said, focused on economic and development cooperation and the role of SMEs in growth and job creation, with Dr. Hussein highlighting the international reach of Bahrain’s entrepreneurship model.
