Qatar Ports Handle Over 78,000 TEUs in June, Cargo Volumes Rise

Qatar's commercial ports handled more than 78,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in June, reflecting a 13% increase compared to the previous month, according to Mwani Qatar.
The ports also welcomed 121 vessels during the month, representing a 21% rise from May, the company said.
In addition, the ports processed nearly 23,000 tonnes of general cargo and over 67,000 tonnes of bulk cargo. Bulk cargo volumes recorded a significant 40% month-on-month increase, highlighting continued growth in port operations.
The figures, reported by the Qatar News Agency (QNA), underscore the steady expansion of maritime trade and cargo handling activity across Qatar's ports.
