Arab Women Diplomats celebration in Cairo

Fawzia Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, participated in a ceremony held at the Arab League headquarters marking the International Day of Arab Women Diplomats. The event was organised by the League’s General Secretariat in cooperation with the Arab Council for Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development.
During the celebration, Ambassador Zainal received the 2026 Arab Woman Award for Social Responsibility in recognition of her distinguished diplomatic and parliamentary career. She was honoured for her historic roles, including being the first elected female Speaker of a parliament in the Arab world and Bahrain’s first female Ambassador to Egypt, as well as her contributions to promoting women’s leadership in the region.
