200 Workers Benefit as ICRF Continues Summer Awareness Campaign

The second week of the Thirst Quenchers 2026 campaign was held on Saturday, 27 June 2026, at a worksite in Galali, as part of ongoing efforts to protect workers during Bahrain’s peak summer heat.

The initiative is led by the Indian Community Welfare Association – ICRF Bahrain, which continues its annual summer awareness programme focused on promoting worker safety and hydration.

This year’s campaign aligns with the Ministry of Labour’s summer safety initiative and is supported by the Ministry of Labour, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The distribution drive was held at the worksite of Mohammed Jalal Contracting Company in Galali, where around 200 workers were provided with water, juice, laban, and fresh fruits including oranges, apples, and bananas.

ICRF Chairman Adv. V. K. Thomas, Joint Secretary Suresh Babu, Advisor Aruldas Thomas, and Thirst Quenchers Coordinator Chemban Jalal participated in the programme, along with other ICRF officials. Mohammed Jalal Contracting Company HSE Officer Rajesh Sadanand and a group of enthusiastic student volunteers also joined the distribution effort.

Organisers highlighted that, as in previous years, strong support from the Bohra community and volunteers has played a key role in sustaining the success of the initiative, whi
